Gokyo Lake helicopter tour is a wonderful heli ride to explore the beautiful Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo valley in Everest. It takes about 4 hours to complete the Gokyo Helicopter ride. The Gokyo valley is 137 kilometers far from Kathmandu which covers the five beautiful lakes.
It is the second popular Helicopter tour after the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour in Everest region. The helicopter ride is possible from Kathmandu to Gokyo or Lukla to Gokyo Lake. It offers the aerial views of several snowcapped peaks, Gokyo valley, Gokyo Lakes, the largest glaciers, views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam and settlements like Phakding, Namche, Lukla, Syangboche, Manjo, and more.
This Gokyo Lake helicopter tour starts from Kathmandu, lands at Lukla and fly to Gokyo valley and lands about half an hour to explore the beautiful lakes and valley. We pick up you from hotel and transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport domestic terminal for helicopter ride. After the boarding process complete, you will fly to Lukla which takes about 50 minutes. During the flight you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes and mountain views.
After defueling the helicopter, we fly for Gokyo Valley and pass by Phakding, Namche, Synagboche, Phorche, and Machhermo and finally reach at Gokyo Lake where we land for photos and explore the glacier lakes. After exploring the vistas we return to Syangboche for breakfast at Hotel Everest View where you will have an hour time for breakfast and enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Everest.
The helicopter flight concludes after flying back to Kathmandu which takes about an hour.
