We decided to take the Gorakshep to Gokyo Lake Helicopter Flight instead of walking the long route, and it turned out to be a breathtaking shortcut to paradise. The Gokyo Lakes looked like sapphire jewels nestled among snowy peaks, and the pilot gave us time to admire the scene.
