Morning Annapurna Helicopter Flight – Sunrise Over the Himalayas

(5/5)

Our morning Annapurna helicopter flight started just after sunrise, and it was one of the most mesmerizing experiences I’ve ever had. The sunlight painted the peaks in shades of gold and rose as we flew toward Annapurna Base Camp. I could see the full range—Annapurna I, II, III, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna—all in a single panorama. Landing at the base camp was peaceful; we sipped tea, breathed in the cold air, and took endless photos. The return flight gave us one last look at Phewa Lake glimmering below. Nepal Helicopter Service, under Rajan Neupane’s management, runs a top-notch operation. If you visit Pokhara, don’t miss this Annapurna helicopter ride.
