A breathtaking way to say goodbye to Everest

After spending so much effort climbing up the trail, flying back to Kathmandu was pure bliss. We departed from Namche early in the morning under a clear blue sky. The flight path followed the same valley we trekked through, and seeing it all from above made me realize how vast and beautiful the Himalayas truly are.

The pilot from Nepal Helicopter Service was skilled and friendly, making sure we all felt safe. I’ll never forget the final glimpse of Everest before we descended toward the valley.
