Fees and breakfast are extra
Allow NPR 3,000 per person for the national park, NPR 3,000 for local government tax, NPR 500 for Kathmandu airport tax and NPR 500 for Lukla airport tax: NPR 7,000 per person in total. Breakfast at Hotel Everest View is approximately USD 40 per person extra. Ask for the itemised total and any nationality-specific charges before payment.
Why a shared seat and a charter have different prices
A shared fare buys one seat on a confirmed group departure. A private fare reserves the stated group option. High-altitude aircraft performance determines the permitted passenger load, and larger groups can require smaller landing shuttles. The operator confirms the actual plan from passenger and baggage weights, fuel, weather and current permissions.
Overfly and landing are different products
The USD 1,399 option flies over Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar; it does not promise a landing there. Kala Patthar landing options are subject to permission, suitable conditions and the pilot’s approval. Sightseeing options do not promise a landing at Everest Base Camp itself.
