Heli Flight to Lukla 
Everest Heli Pickup Helicopter flights to and from Namche are mostly used by trekkers who want to skip the long descent to Lukla, or who need to leave the trail early. The flight down to Lukla takes about ten minutes, and a direct flight to Kathmandu about an hour.
At 3,440 m (11,286 ft), most visitors feel fine on a short visit. Walk slowly, drink water, and rest before walking uphill if you have just flown in from Kathmandu.
Helicopters fly all year when the weather allows. The clearest months are March–May and September–December. In the June–August monsoon, early morning is usually the only clear window.
